Bryn Conway, a former credit union executive, has 20-plus years of experience helping organizations grow by focusing on brand development, member experience and marketing strategy.
Bryn believes in the credit union movement and its dedication to improving the financial lives of members. She speaks and contributes frequently presenting on member experience, brand development, mission, vision and values creation, women and finances and leading at every level. Bryn is always looking for ways to help credit unions solve problems and better serve their members.
Bryn’s work with credit unions and CUSOs has earned multiple industry awards for brand development, retail merchandising, corporate communications, and public relations. She is a Certified Digital Marketing Professional, Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) ardent supporter of the Global Women’s Leadership Network and annually she participates in the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10-Mile Run. She is also a member of the American Marketing Association.
Bryn earned her Master of Business Administration from Regis University with an emphasis in Market Strategy, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wyoming. In her spare time, you’ll find Bryn cheering on the Chicago Cubs, Washington Capitals, traveling and spending time with her family.
CHRIS CONWAY
Chief Strategy & Governance Consultant, BC Consulting
Chris Conway has 40 years of experience in financial services with 16 years as President/CEO of a large credit union in the Washington, DC metro area. After recently retiring as CEO, Chris has joined BC Consulting as their Chief Strategy and Governance Consultant where he advises CEOs and/or Boards on governance, strategy, mergers, management agreements and executive compensation.
During his career, Chris has taken the lead in many governance initiatives as a CEO and/or Board member for credit unions, associations, Credit Union Service Organizations (CUSO) and foundations. These initiatives include: The creation of new corporate entities; review and revising of bylaws and Board policies; conducting merger due diligence and negotiations; drafting and negotiating employment, deferred compensation and management agreements; and designing executive bonus and incentive plans.
Chris has volunteered and served as a Board member and/or o cer of the MD|DC Credit Union Association, the Maryland Credit Union League, the Suburban Chapter of the Maryland Credit Union League, the Credit Union Services Incorporated (CUSI), the Baltimore Washington Credit Union Direct Lending CUSO, the Education Credit Union Council (ECUC), and the Support Education Foundation. Currently, he is the Chair of the MD|DC Credit Union Foundation.
Chris also represented credit unions on the Community Depository Institution Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and the Maryland State Department of Education’s Financial Literacy Education Advisory Council. Chris was recognized for his outstanding professional excellence with the MD|DC Credit Union Association's Judith A. Burgin Memorial Professional of the Year Award in 2011, and again in 2015.
Chris earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Frostburg State University.
